Getting started with your Focalsoft VPS is easy. Follow these steps to set up your VPS and start using it.
1. Accessing Your VPS Control Panel Log in to your Focalsoft account and navigate to the VPS Management section. Here, you can manage all aspects of your VPS.
2. Choosing an Operating System Select the operating system (OS) for your VPS. We offer various Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server versions. Choose the OS that best fits your needs and click "Install."
3. Initial Server Configuration Once the OS is installed, you can configure your VPS:
- Set Hostname: Assign a hostname to your server.
- Configure Networking: Ensure your network settings are correct. This includes IP addresses, gateways, and DNS servers.
- Secure Your Server: Set strong passwords for all accounts and enable a firewall.
4. Installing Software With root access, you can install any software you need. Common installations include web servers (Apache, Nginx), databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and control panels (cPanel, Plesk).
